About Sabine Heubusch
Originally from Austria, Sabine Heubusch received her B.A. in Music and Movement (Dalcroze Eurhythmics) from the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna/Austria. Sabine came to New York in 1993, when she was awarded a dance scholarship from the Ministry of Arts and Education/Austria to study Contemporary Dance and Contact Improvisation. Her dancing is also influenced by Tango and Salsa which she pursued on her extensive travels throughout South and Central America. Sabine founded On-Site Dance in 2008 and performs in site-specific outdoor areas around the world.
In 2001 she became a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique at the American Center for the Alexander Technique, in 2002 a Certified Pilates Mat teacher at the Kelly Kane School and in 2003 she was certified as a Hatha Yoga Teacher at Be Yoga. She completed Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 in 2009 in Rishikesh/India. Sabine teaches adults, children of all ages and children with special needs in public schools, music and art schools, fitness studios, and her private practice in New York and Austria.
Sabine loves to share her experience, creativity, and knowledge in her teaching and greatly appreciates what she learns from her students. The Alexander Technique has had a profound impact on Sabine’s life and supports her in her mission and commitment to well-being and the arts.
