Dance Improvisation

We explore movements in relation to the human skeleton. As we follow the concepts of physiology, we develop an understanding of support, coordination of movement and breathing, posture, alignment, balance, flexibility, and strength.

We work to improve skills such as jumping, turning, falling, gliding, and step-combinations. Dancing to different styles of music helps us establish rhythm and form.

My intention is to encourage children to make dance their own, so that it becomes authentic and fun.

"Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another."
